Making our 45th year the best ever. West Coast Chapter FAMB
Jerry Collyer, President for 2007-2008 has given his vision for the West Coast Chapter – FAMB to make our 45th year the “Best Ever”. 2006 brought on changes ( and challenges that we overcame) for the better for the Chapter, our outreach to the industry and the community in the immediate area surpassed prior years. In 2006 we had three landmark events that will prove even bigger for this term:
1) the first two-tier Tradeshow in FAMB history – held at the USF Sundome in Tampa, FL, the West Coast Chapter tradeshow surpassed not only prior years’ revenue, but prior years’ attendance by leaps and bounds – with over 160 booths available and over 3500 in attendance, we paved the way for our tradeshow to be an even bigger success in years to come;
2) Our Holiday Gala – 2006 we tried something different, rather than offer the usual small concise get together at a local restaurant, we opened our arms and reached out to the industry by providing a large venue (The Hard Rock Casino and Hotel) so that our members could provide a networking event for our business owner members, and to allow our members to meet the leaders in the industry from the area. Not only did we have a top-shelf list of sponsors, but a record turnout (over 350+), this year will prove to be an even bigger success.
3) Our Annual Casino night in conjunction with the Tampa WCR (Women’s Council of Realtors) brought in over 300 people and proved to be a very popular event for both organizations.
Upcoming events:
1) Our holiday gala is scheduled for Friday December 7, 2007, we have a group of rooms at a special member discount available, so book your room and make your reservation with us early. Don’t miss this opportunity. This is also a great opportunity to provide a Christmas party for your office, take advantage of the benefits of membership.
2) Our annual Casino Night is being held March 14, 2008, Florida State Fairgrounds.
3) Our Chapter Tradeshow is scheduled for April 8, 2008 at the USF Sundome once again, located at the University of South Florida (Go Bulls!). Our Tradeshow is free to everyone that wishes to attend, great for meeting industry leaders in lending, anicillary service companies, and networking to make your business grow.
